Common questions
- How do I add another household member?
- On the Home tab, tap the dashed + circle next to your member avatars. You'll get a 6-character invite code that the other person enters in the app to join.
- Why didn't my receipt scan recognize all the items?
- Receipt OCR depends on photo clarity. Hold steady, get even lighting, and frame the entire receipt. You can also tap any line on the review screen to fix the parsed name or quantity before applying.
- Can I use Pantrease without the AI features?
- Yes. Manual pantry entry, shopping list, and saved recipes work without ever calling the AI. The AI features (daily recipes, receipt parsing) are optional.
- How do I delete my account?
- Settings tab → Delete account. The action erases your profile, avatar, AI usage counters, and removes you from every household. Cooking-log entries you authored are anonymized so other members' history stays intact.
- What if I'm the only admin and I leave the household?
- If other members exist, the longest-tenured member is automatically promoted to admin. If you're the only member, the household is deleted entirely.
- Is my dietary profile shared with other household members?
- Yes. Other members of your household can see your dietary profile (allergies, dietary mode, dislikes, taste description) so the AI recipe suggestions can respect everyone at the table. Your dietary profile is not shared outside your household.
- I forgot my password.
- On the Login screen, tap "Forgot your password?" and enter your email. We'll send a reset link if an account exists for that address.
- Pantrease isn't on Android yet — when?
- iOS first. Android is on the roadmap once the iOS app is stable and we've validated the core household loop with real users.
